The Wicked Husbandmen
(V 33) Hear another
parable: There was a certain householder,
which planted a vineyard,
and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it,
and built a tower, and let it out to
husbandmen, and went into a far
country:

Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and
said, (V 2) The
kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made
a marriage for his son,

The Wicked Husbandmen
(V 34) And
when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his
servants to the husbandmen,
that they might receive the fruits of it. (V 35) And the
husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed
another, and stoned another. (V 36) Again, he sent other
servants more than the first: and they did unto them
likewise. (V 37)
But last of all he sent unto them his son,
saying, They will reverence my son. (V 38) But when
the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves,
This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize
on his inheritance. (V 39) And they caught him, and cast him
out of the vineyard, and slew him.
(Mat 22:1 - 14 KJV)
Marriage of the King’s Son
(V 3) And
sent forth his servants
to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they
would not come. (V
4) Again, he sent forth other servants, saying,
Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my
dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things
are ready: come unto the marriage. (V 5) But they
made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm,
another to his merchandise: (V 6) And the remnant took his
servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

We
cannot be part of the kingdom of God apart from
allegiance to the King. The religious leaders of Jesus
time controlled the outward, a empty shell of
religion.
(Mat 23:37 KJV) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and
stonest them which are sent unto thee, how
often would I have gathered thy children together, even
as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye
would not!
(Mat 23:38 KJV) Behold, your house is left unto
you desolate.
(Mat 21:33 - 46 KJV)
The Wicked Husbandmen
(V 40) When
the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he
do unto those husbandmen? (V 41) They say unto him, He
will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out
his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which
shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
(Mat 22:1 - 14 KJV)
Marriage of the King’s Son
(V 7) But
when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent
forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned
up their city.
The Jewish leaders were motived by lust for power and
money. They spoke of their pure and holy reverence for
God and His Law. But, in worldly they were full of died
mans bones.

The Wicked Husbandmen
(V 42) Jesus
saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures,
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing,
and it is marvellous in our eyes? (V 43)
Therefore say I unto you, The
kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation
bringing forth the fruits thereof. (V 44) And
whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but
on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to
powder.
(Mat 22:1 - 14 KJV)
Marriage of the King’s Son
(V 8) Then
saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they
which were bidden were not
worthy. (V 9) Go ye therefore into the highways,
and as many as
ye shall find, bid to the marriage. (V 10) So those
servants went out into the highways, and gathered
together all as many as they found, both bad and good:
and the wedding was furnished with guests.
And so Jesus pronounced judgment. I tell you that the
kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to
a people who will produce its fruit. God's feast of
salvation will have guests aplenty. Since those who were
invited first saw fit to refuse, God's invitation has
been extended to street corners and alleys of the whole
world to both bad and good, and God gathers all the
people who will respond to the call.
(Mat 21:33 - 46 KJV)
The Wicked Husbandmen
(V 45) And
when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his
parables, they perceived that he spake of them. (V 46) But
when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the
multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
(Mat 22:1 - 14 KJV)
Marriage of the King’s Son
(V 11) And
when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a
man which had not on a wedding garment: (V 12) And he
saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not
having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. (V 13) Then
said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot,
and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness;
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (V 14) For
many are called, but few are chosen.
As
was the custom, those coming are to be provided with a
wedding garment by the Father. Anyone seeking to crash
this feast will be recognized immediately; his own
clothes will not be acceptable. And he will be cast into
the darkness.

Olive Tree
(Rom 11:16 - 25 KJV) For if the firstfruit be holy, the
lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the
branches. (V
17) And if some of the branches be broken off,
and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among
them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of
the olive tree; (V 18) Boast not against the branches.
But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the
root thee. (V
19) Thou wilt say then, The branches were
broken off, that I might be grafted in. (V 20) Well;
because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou
standest by faith. Be not highminded,
but fear: (V
21) For if God spared not the natural
branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. (V 22) Behold
therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them
which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou
continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be
cut off. (V
23) And they also, if they abide not still in
unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft
them in again. (V
24) For if thou wert cut out of the olive
tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary
to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall
these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into
their own olive tree? (V 25) For I would not, brethren, that
ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be
wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is
happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be
come in.

is Faith?
W e b s t e r , s D i c t i o n a r y
Faith:
1) unquestioning belief that does not requir proof of
evidence
2) anything believed
3) complete trust, confidence, or reliance
Confidence:

2) the fact of being or feeling certain
S t r

Faith:
persuasion, i.e. credence; mor. conviction (of religious
truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious
teacher), espec. reliance upon Christ for salvation;
abstr. constancy in such profession; by extens. the
system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance,
belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
The opposite of
faith is unbelief
Faith is believing in God with confidante trust or you
could say Faith is confidante trust in God
(James 2:19 KJV) Thou believest that there is one
God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
(Mark 11:22 KJV) And Jesus answering saith unto them,
Have faith in God.
Key points: because of unbelief they were
broken off, and thou standest by faith
Faith is believing in God with confidante trust or Faith
is confidante trust in God
Does Faith “confidante trust”
come by Hearing ?
(Rom 10:1 - 18 KJV) Brethren, my heart's desire and
prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. (V 2) For I
bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but
not according to knowledge. (V 3) For they being ignorant
of God's righteousness, and going about to establish
their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves
unto the righteousness of God. (V 4) For Christ is the end
of the law for righteousness to every one that
believeth. (V
5) For Moses describeth the righteousness
which is of the law, That the man which doeth those
things shall live by them. (V 6) But the righteousness
which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in
thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to
bring Christ down from above:) (V 7) Or, Who shall descend
into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from
the dead.) (V
8) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee,
even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word
of faith, which we preach; (V 9) That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. (V 10) For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation. (V 11) For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be
ashamed. (V
12) For there is no difference between
the Jew and the Greek: for the same
Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (V 13) For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. (V 14)
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they
have not heard? and how shall they hear without a
preacher? (V
15) And how shall they preach, except they be
sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of
them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things! (V 16) But they have not all
obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath
believed our report? (V 17) So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(V 18)
But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily,
their sound went into all the earth, and their words
unto the ends of the world. (V 19) But I say, Did not
Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to
jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish
nation I will anger you. (V 20) But Esaias is very
bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not;
I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. (V 21) But to
Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my
hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying
people.
(Hosea 4:6) Mypeople are destroyed for lack of
knowledge: because thou
hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject
thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou
hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget
thy children.

Their voice has gone out into all the earth”. Is it
possible that Israel hadn’t heard the Good News of God’s
grace? “Of course they did,” Paul said.
The failure of any man or group to respond to God is not
the fault of the Lord. It is because of man’s stubborn
disobedience when God’s voice is heard.
The Good News was preached. Israel simply did not
believe. “Hearing,” which in biblical thought implies
responding appropriately, requires first a message, but
then requires understanding and acceptance by those to
whom the message is given. Even in Old Testament times
Israel did not understand and refused to accept what God
cried out to them through Moses and the prophets.
