Revelation
8:2,
6 KJV
I
saw the seven angels which stood
before God; and to them were given
seven trumpets And the seven
angels which had the seven
trumpets prepared themselves to
sound.
|
|
Before we look at the trumpets, we need
to understand that the book of
Revelation is written in a sequence of
pitchers that they lay on top of each
other. It is like a move, in a move you
see one seen that may be 10 minutes long
or longer then it goes to a another
seen, that is taking place at the same
time. The book of Revelation is just
like that. We see different seen,
pitchers, of a period of time. We
see the tribulation parred, a time
of 7 years, it is divided into two
3½ years parred. Some of the
pitchers in the book of Revelation, is
the seals, the trumpets, the vials, and
the two witnesses.
The trumpets start at the middle of the
7 years and show up at different times
throw out the last 3½ years.
We read in Zechariah that
God will
|
"Zec
14:2,3
For I will gather
all nations against Jerusalem
to battle;
and the city shall be taken,
and the houses rifled, and the
women ravished; and half of
the city shall go forth into
captivity, and the residue of
the people shall not be cut
off from the city. Then
shall the
LORD go forth,
and fight against those
nations, as
when
he fought in the day
of battle".
|
This
is
when the Antichrist commits the
abomination of desolation, and his
people attack Jerusalem. after they do
that, God goes out and fights like he
did "in
the day of battle", that is
like he did with Moses
and Aaron, who proclaimed the plagues on
Egypt.
The two witnesses are the
instrument in which God yous on earth to
proclaim the trumpets, the angels
proclaim them in heaven. In
heaven we see
|
"Rev
8:2,6
And I saw the seven
angels which
stood
before God; and to them were given
seven trumpets.
And
the seven
angels
which had the
seven
trumpets
prepared themselves to sound."
|
and we
read
in Rev
10:10,11
|
"
And I took the
little
book
out of the angel's hand, and
ate it up; and it was in my
mouth sweet
as honey:
and as soon as I had eaten it,
my
belly
was bitter.
And he said unto me, Thou must
prophesy
again before many peoples, and
nations, and tongues, and
kings.". |
In the book of Jeremiah we see that the
book is the word of God which is sweet,
a joy and rejoicing to Gods prophets,
but it is a bitterness, a anger caused
by the injustice that is going on in the
world.
|
"Jer
15:16,17 Thy
words were
found, and I
did eat them;
and thy word was unto me the
joy
and rejoicing of mine heart:
for I
am called by thy name, O
LORD God of hosts.
I sat not in the assembly of
the mockers, nor rejoiced; I
sat alone because of thy hand:
for thou hast filled
me with indignation."
|
Then we see on earth
John measuring the temple
|
"Rev
11:2,3
But
the court which is without the
temple leave out, and measure
it not; for it is given
unto the Gentiles:
and the
holy city shall they tread
under foot forty and two
months.
And
I will give power
unto my
two witnesses,
and they
shall prophesy a
thousand two hundred and
threescore days,
clothed in sackcloth". |
So we see that God's two
witnesses proclaim the trumpets, Gods
word for 1260 days and that Jerusalem is
tread under foot by the gentiles, the
Antichrist for 42 months. 42 months is
3½ years or 1278 days, the
witnesses witness for 1260 days there is
a difference of 18 days. These
numbers will be needed latter when we
get to the seventh trumpet.
Before we look at what the trumpets are,
lets answer the question of who are
these two witness?
Some believe these men to be Moses and
Elijah because these men did signs and
wonders.
Signs and wonders follow those
that believe not just these men, we read
in
Acts 5:12
|
"And by the hands
of
the
apostles were
many signs and wonders
wrought among the
people; (and they were all
with one accord in Solomon's
porch." |
and in Mark 16:17,18
|
"And
these
signs
shall follow them that
believe;
In my name shall they cast out
devils; they shall speak with
new tongues; They
shall take up serpents; and if
they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them; they
shall lay hands on the sick,
and they shall recover." |
Some believe these men to be Enoch and
Elijah, because they never died, for in Heb
9:27
|
"And
as it
is appointed unto men once to
die,
but after this the judgment:". |
Yes these men did not die in the flesh,
but they died to the world and became
alive unto God.
We read in 1
Cor 15:51,52
|
"Behold,
I
show you a mystery; We
shall
not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling
of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be
changed." |
We see here that we all wont die or
sleep, but we will be changed,
these men where changed for in 1 Cor
15:50
|
"Now
this
I say, brethren, that
flesh
and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption
inherit incorruption." |
and in Rom 6:8
|
"Now
if we be dead
with Christ, we believe
that we shall also live with
him:" |
God
said they are
|
"Rev
11:4
These
are the two
olive trees,
and the two
candlesticks standing
before the God of the earth.". |
So they are olive trees and
candlesticks, in Zechariah we read
|
"Zec
4:2,3
And
said unto me, What seest thou?
And I said, I have looked, and
behold a
candlestick
all of gold, with a bowl upon
the top of it, and his seven
lamps thereon, and seven
pipes to the seven lamps,
which are upon the top
thereof: And two
olive
trees by it,
one upon the right side of the
bowl, and the other upon the
left side thereof.". |
We see the same pitcher, there is
only one candlestick throw, lets read on
|
"Zec
4:4,5
So
I
answered and
spake
to the
angel that
talked with me, saying, What
are
these,
my
lord?
Then the angel that
talked with me answered and
said unto me, Knowest
thou not what these be?
And I said, No, my lord."
|
We see Zechariah was asking the
same question that we are. What was Gods
answer to him?
|
"Zec
4:6,9
Then he answered and spake
unto me, saying, This is the
word of the LORD unto
Zerubbabel, saying,
saith the LORD of
hosts. The
hands of Not
by might, nor by power, but by
my spirit, Zerubbabel have
laid the foundation of this
house;
his hands shall also finish
it; and thou shalt know that
the LORD of hosts hath sent me
unto you.
|
|
Zec
4:11,12
Then
answered I, and said unto him,
What are these two
olive trees
upon the right side of
the candlestick and upon the
left side thereof?
Then said he, These
are the two anointed ones,
that stand by the Lord of the
whole earth.".
|
|
Hag
1:1
In
the second year of Darius the
king, in the sixth month, in
the first day of the month,
came the word of the LORD by
Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel
the son of Shealtiel, governor
of
Judah,
and to Joshua
the son of Josedech, the
high priest,
saying,
|
The two anointed
ones that was referred to here is
Zerubbabel and Joshua, The governor and
the high priest, the agents of God.
We see that the two olive trees
are anointed ones and the seven pipes to
the seven lamps on the candlestick was
God providing his spirit. The
candlestick is the church or temple that
was being rebuilt, we see God referred
to the seven local churches in Rev
chapters 2 and 3 as candlesticks.
From this understanding we see that the
two witness are two men that will be on
the earth at that time, just like God
had two men in Zechariah's day. These
men will be anointed by God, doing his
work, not by there own power, but by the
Spirit of God. The two candlesticks
stand for Gods universally church, that
is in the world. In the old testament
there was one universally church,
candlestick, now there are two divisions
Judaism and Christianity. Like the north
and south kingdoms of Jerusalem,
God wonts to unit them together as one.
Now we have looked at the two witnesses,
lets take a look at the trumpets, the
plagues upon the world.
The saints must be sealed, with the seal
of God before the trumpets can be blown.
We read in Rev 7:1-4
|
"And
after
these things I saw
four
angels standing on the four
corners of the earth,
holding the four winds of the
earth, that the wind
should
not
blow
on
the
earth,
nor on the sea,
nor on any
tree.
And
I saw another angel ascending
from the east, having the seal
of
the living God:
and he cried with a loud voice
to the four angels, to whom it
was given to hurt the earth
and
the
sea, Saying,
Hurt
not the earth, neither the
sea, nor the trees, till
we
have sealed the servants of
our God
in their foreheads.
And I heard the
number of them
which
were
sealed:
and there were sealed an
hundred and forty and four
thousand
of all the
tribes of the children of
Israel." |
At this time God seals the
church of the Jew's, the children of
Israel. There will be 144 thousand
Jewish men sealed, thees are the
firstfruits unto God. The 144 thousand,
12 thousand from each tribe, is for the
dividing of the land, there
inherits. We see this in Ezek
chapter 9 and 47
|
Ezek
9:4,5
& 8,9
And the LORD said unto him, Go
through the midst of the city,
through the midst
of Jerusalem,
and set a mark
upon the foreheads of the
men that sigh and that cry for all
the abominations
that be done in the
midst thereof. And to
the others he said in mine
hearing, Go ye after him
through the city, and smite:
let not your eye
spare, neither have ye pity:
|
|
And
it came to pass, while
they
were slaying them,
and I was left, that I
fell upon my face,
and cried, and said, Ah Lord
GOD! wilt thou destroy all the
residue of Israel in thy
pouring out of thy fury upon
Jerusalem? Then
said he unto me, The
iniquity of the house of
Israel and Judah is exceeding
great,
and the land is
full
of blood,
and the city
full of perverseness:
for they say, The LORD hath
forsaken the earth, and the
LORD seeth not.
|
|
Ezek
47:13
Thus
saith the Lord GOD; This
shall
be the border,
whereby ye
shall inherit the land
according to the twelve tribes
of Israel:
Joseph shall have two
portions.
|
We that are believers in Jesus have
already been sealed.
We read in Eph 1:13 that we that are
saved are sealed
|
"In
whom ye also trusted, after
that ye heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise,"
|
Gods children are sealed, to protect
them from the plagues, that are to come
upon the earth.
For this is the time of compensation for
the debate of Zion.
|
Isa
34:8,9
For
it is the day of the Lord's
vengeance, and the year of recompenses
for
the
controversy
of Zion.
And
the streams
thereof shall be
turned
into pitch,
and the dust
thereof into brimstone,
and the
land
thereof shall become burning
pitch.
|
Trumpet one 1/3 of the
land is burnt up, by hail and fire.
|
"Rev
8:7
The
first angel sounded, and there
followed hail
and
fire
mingled with blood,
and they were
cast
upon
the earth:
and the third
part of
trees was burnt up, and all
green grass was burnt
up."
|
This trumpet seems to be a great storm,
it is similar to the seventh plague on
Egyptians, in Exo 9:22-26. There are two
possible ways that I see that it cud be.
1)
A
great hail and lightning, strike the
earth, setting on fire third part of
trees and grass. The fact that there is
blood mingled in this storm my refer to
the fact that animals and people my even
die in this storm.
2)
This my even be a meteor shower, the
iron oxide in a meteor shower cud
produce a red precipitation, falling
down as hail, that may look like blood.
parts of the meteor could be burning as
it hits the ground setting on fire third
part of trees and grass. This is very
possible in light of the next two
trumpet.
Trumpet two 1/3 sea to
blood, something like a mountain burning
with fire cast into the sea.
|
"Rev
8:8,9
And
the second angel sounded, and
as
it
were a great mountain
burning with fire was
cast into the sea:
and the third
part
of the sea became
blood; And
the
third
part
of the creatures
which were in the sea, and had
life, died;
and the third
part
of the ships
were destroyed." |
A great mountain burning with fire, most
likely will be a large meteor falling
into the sea. It will killing 1/3 of the
sea life and 1/3 of the ships in the
sea.
Trumpet Three 1/3 of the
rivers turned bitter, by a star
called Wormwood.
|
"Rev
8:10,11
And
the third angel sounded, and there
fell
a great star from heaven,
burning as it were a lamp,
and it fell upon the third
part of
the rivers,
and upon the fountains of
waters; And the name of the
star is called Wormwood: and
the third
part of
the waters became wormwood;
and many men died of the
waters, because they were made
bitter." |
A another meteor or a comet,
breaks up as it comes throw the
atmosphere looking like a lamp. The
gaseous vapors and dust particles will
fall to the earth poisoning one-third of
the rivers making them bitter.
Trumpet four 1/3
of the sun, stars, and moon
darkened.
|
"Rev
8:12
And
the fourth angel sounded, and
the third part of
the sun was smitten,
and the third
part of
the
moon,
and the third
part
of the stars;
so as the third part of
them
was darkened,
and the
day shone not for a
third part of
it,
and the night
likewise." |
This is most likely part of the meteor
showers, going by the earth, blocking
one-third of the light from the sun, and
moon, and stars. The fact that it says the day
shone not for a third part of it. Calling
the event an it, that makes it sound
like a meteor shower passed by. This
storm appears to block one-third of the
light, during the knight and day time,
and blocks out all the light for
one-third of knight and day.
Woe,
woe, woe
Rev
8:13 And I beheld, and
heard an angel flying through the
midst of heaven, saying with a loud
voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the
inhabiters of the earth by reason
of the other voices of
the trumpet of the three angels,
which are yet to
sound!
The next three trumpets are also called
woe's, woes are punishments on men.
|
Joel
2:1 Blow
ye the trumpet in Zion,
and sound
an
alarm
in my holy mountain:
let
all the inhabitants of the
land tremble:
for the day of the LORD
cometh,
for it is nigh at
hand;
|
Trumpet five
Bottomless pit opened, 5 months of torment.
The bottomless pit is unlocked
and opened by an angel that looks like a
star falling from heaven. Smoke comes
out of the pit so thick that it will
darken the light of the sun and out of
the smoke a plague of demon
locusts is released on the earth. These
are not normal locusts that eat green
planets but these are demons that
torment unbelievers for five months.
There torment is like a scorpions
sting, so painfully that those stung
will seek death, but wont be able to
die. These demon locusts will not bother
thous that have the seal of God.
|
Rev
9:1,3
And
the fifth
angel sounded,
and I saw a star fall from
heaven unto the earth: and to
him was given
the
key of the bottomless pit.
And there came out of
the smoke locusts
upon the earth:
and unto them was given power,
as the scorpions of the earth
have power.
|
|
Rev
9:7-10
And
the shapes of the
locusts
were like unto horses
prepared unto battle; and on
their heads were as it were
crowns like gold, and their faces
were
as the faces of men.
And
they had hair as the hair of
women, and their teeth were as
the teeth of lions. And
they had breastplates, as it
were breastplates of iron; and
the sound of their wings was
as the sound
of
chariots
of many horses running to
battle. And they had
tails like unto scorpions, and
there were stings in their
tails: and their power was to
hurt men five months.
|
|
Joel
2:4,5,
10
The
appearance of them is
as the appearance of horses;
and as horsemen,
so shall they run.
Like the noise of chariots
on
the tops of mountains
shall they leap, like the
noise of a flame of fire that
devoureth the stubble, as a
strong people set in battle
array. The
earth
shall quake before them; the heavens
shall tremble:
the sun
and the moon
shall be
dark,
and the
stars
shall withdraw their shining:
|
We see here in Joel 2:10 that the
heavens tremble before them, remember
that just before they came, the fourth
trumpet sounded and 1/3 of the
sun, stars, and moon withdraw their
shining.
Trumpet
Six, four angels
loosed from the Euphrates river, 1/3 of men
slain.
These fallen angels are loosed from
there chains, to slay men, they have
been prepared for this time. This plague
will lasts for one year and one month
and a day and one hour .
|
Rev
9:14
Saying
to the sixth
angel
which had the trumpet, Loose
the
four angels
which are bound in the
great river
Euphrates.
|
|
Jude
1:6
And
I remind you of the
angels
who did not stay within
the limits of authority God
gave them but left the place
where they belonged. God has kept
them
chained in prisons of
darkness, waiting for the day
of judgment.
|
|
Rev
9:18
By these three
was the third part of
men killed,
by the fire, and by the smoke,
and by the brimstone, which
issued out of their mouths.
|
|
Rev
9:20
And the rest of the men which
were not killed
by these plagues
yet repented not of the works
of their hands, that they
should not worship devils, and
idols of gold, and silver, and
brass, and stone, and of wood:
which neither can see, nor
hear, nor walk:
|
We can see from 2 Samuel chapter
24, that a plague was an angel, that was
sent by God.
David saw the angel, most likely he was
the only one that saw the angel.
|
"2
Sam 24:15-17
So
the LORD
sent
a plague upon Israel
that morning, and it
lasted for three days. Seventy
thousand people died
throughout the nation.
And when
the angel stretched out his
hand upon Jerusalem to destroy
it,
the LORD relented and said to
the angel, "Stop! That is
enough!" At that moment the
angel of the LORD was by the
threshing floor of Araunah the
Jebusite. When
David
saw the angel,
he said to the LORD, "I am the
one who has sinned and done
wrong! But these people are
innocent--what have they done?
Let your anger fall against me
and my family.""
|
Under trumpet
five
the demon's only tormented unbelievers
and under trumpet six the demon's kill
men. This will be a terrible time on the
earth for the lost. These first two
woe's will last for a year and a half.
After the six trumpet, in Revelation
9:13-21, the bible shoes us some other
scenes. The little book open and the
seven thunders uttered their voices, and
the measuring of the temple of God,
and the two witnesses. After
we see these the word picks wright back
up where it left off.
|
Rev
11:14
The
second woe is past;
and, behold, the third woe
cometh quickly.
|
We see that the second woe is past
trumpet six. The reason there was this
gap in between trumpet six and seven is
because the two witnesses where the ones
proclaiming the trumpets. After trumpet
six the beast kills them. They have
finished their testimony, they testified
for 1260 days. Remember I said these
numbers will be needed at the seventh
trumpet. We seen that the Antichrist
wood tread under foot Jerusalem for 42
months, 1278 days, a difference of
18 days.
|
Rev
11:7
And
when they shall have
finished
their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the
bottomless pit shall make
war
against them,
and shall overcome them, and
kill
them.
|
|
Rev
11:11,12
And
after
three
days and an half the Spirit of
life from
God entered into them, and
they
stood upon their feet;
and great fear fell upon them
which saw them. And they
heard a
great voice from heaven
saying unto them, Come
up hither. And they
ascended up to heaven in
a cloud;
and their enemies
beheld them. |
We see that they are raptured. This
takes place at 1264 day, from the start
of there ministry.
The counting for the Antichrist is at
the middle of the seven years, from the
abomination of desolation. The counting
for the two witnesses stares four days
latter. Four days after the abomination,
they enter Jerusalem and start there testimony.
We get this timing from the timing
of the Feast of the Lord, and Dan
12:11
"the abomination that
maketh
desolate
set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred
and ninety days
(1290 days)."
The Lord fulfilled
the
first four Feasts on their day and
hour. He will fulfill
the last three feasts on their day
and hour.
(5)
Feast
of Trumpets "seventh
month, in the first day of
the month,"
day 1
(6)
Feast
of Atonement "the tenth day of
this seventh
month"
day 10
(7)
Feast
of
Tabernacles
"fifteenth
day of this seventh
month"
day 15
"ye
shall
keep a feast unto
the LORD seven days:"
day 22
The Feast of Trumpets is
the seventh trumpet, sounded from
heaven.
Lets do some math, we have the two
witnesses at 1264, the Feast
of
Trumpets,
we need to add 4 days to that, to
start at the abomination.
We are now at 1268
day, day 1.
We add 10 to get
to
the Feast of Atonement, we are now
at 1278
day, day 10.
This is the end of the Antichrist,
the 7 year mark, Armageddon
We add 5 more 1283,
the Feast of
Tabernacles,
the feast
last for 7 days, add 7, we now have
1290.
|
Dan
12:11 "the
abomination
that maketh desolate
set up, there shall be
a thousand two
hundred and ninety days (1290 days)."
|
Now we need to go to
trumpet seven.
Trumpet Seven,
The mystery of God finished and the
Rapture
When the seventh trumpet
begins
to sound the mystery of God will be
finished.
|
Rev
10:7
But in
the days
of the voice of
the seventh angel,
when he shall begin to sound,
the mystery
of God should be finished,
as he hath
declared to his servants the
prophets.
|
What
is
this mystery ?
Here is a list of some mysterys
(1)
the mysteries of the kingdom
of heaven, Mat 13:3-50
(2)
the mystery of Israel's blindness during
the Church
age, Rom 11:25
(3)
the mystery of Christ in you the he hope
of
glory Gal 2:20, Col 1:26-27
(4)
the mystery of the translation of
saints at the end of
the age, 1 Cor 15:51-52, 1 Th 4:13-17
(5)
the mystery of the Church as one body
composed of Jews and Gentiles, Eph
3:1-12, Rom16:25, Eph
6:19, Col 4:3
When the seventh trumpet
sounds
all of these mysteries will be
fulfilled. The kingdom will be reveled,
the blindness will be lifted, the hope
of glory will have come, the saints of
God will be resurrection (translated),
and the two churches will be united as
one.
|
Col
1:27
To
whom God
would make known
what is the riches of
the glory
of this mystery among the
Gentiles; which is
Christ
in
you, the
hope
of glory:
|
The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our
Lord
|
Rev
11:15
And the seventh
angel sounded;
and there were great
voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are
become the kingdoms of our
Lord,
and of his Christ; and he
shall reign for ever and ever.
|
This is the seventh and last trump.
|
1
Cor 15:51,52
Behold,
I show you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed, In
a moment, in the twinkling of
an eye, at the
last trump:
for the
trumpet shall sound,
and the dead
shall
be raised incorruptible, and
we shall be changed.
|
The Rapture Jesus comes on a cloud, and
reaps the earth. We are raptured, the
trump of God sounds, with a shout and the voice
of the archangel
|
Rev
14:14,15
And I looked, and behold a
white cloud,
and upon the cloud one sat
like unto the Son
of man,
having on his head a golden
crown, and in his hand a
sharp sickle.
And
another angel came out of the
temple, crying with a loud
voice to him that sat on the
cloud, Thrust
in
thy
sickle, and reap: for the time
is come
for thee to reap; for the
harvest of the earth is ripe.
|
|
1
Th 4:14-17
For
if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so them
also which sleep in Jesus will
God bring with him. For
this we say unto you by the
word of the Lord, that we
which are alive and remain
unto the coming of the Lord
shall not prevent them
which are asleep. For
the Lord himself shall descend
from heaven
with a
shout,
with the voice
of the archangel,
and with the trump
of God:
and the dead
in
Christ shall rise first:
Then we which
are alive
and remain shall be caught
up
together with them
in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord.

This is the first
resurrection
|
Rev
20:4,5
Then
I saw thrones, and the people
sitting on them had been given
the authority to judge. And I
saw the souls of those who had
been beheaded for their
testimony about Jesus, for
proclaiming the word of God.
And I
saw the souls of those who had
not worshiped the beast or his
statue,
nor accepted his mark
on their forehead or their
hands. They
came
to life again, and
they
reigned with Christ for a
thousand years. This is
the first
resurrection.
(The rest of the dead
did not come back to life
until the thousand years had
ended.)

Trumpet seven, woe three is past, now
comes Gods wrath.
|
Rev
11:18, 19
And the nations were
angry, and thy
wrath is come,
and the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, and
that thou shouldest give
reward unto thy servants the
prophets, and to the saints,
and them that fear thy name,
small and great; and shouldest
destroy them which destroy the
earth. And the
temple of God was opened in
heaven, and there was seen in
his temple the ark of his
testament: and there were lightnings,
and voices, and thunderings,
and an earthquake,
and great
hail.
